GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Star And Former WWE Champion Batista Being Considered For 2018 Hall Of Fame
After an underwhelming return to the squared circle back in 2014, Dave Bautista has seemingly turned his focus solely to his acting career. However, rumour has it he could enter the WWE Hall of Fame...
WWE's annual Hall of Fame ceremony always delivers plenty of surprises with the past couple of years adding names like Sting and Kurt Angle. However, it sounds like another fan-favourite from the mid-2000s is going to be part of this elite group as The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Dave Bautista is one of the names floating around for the class of 2018.
This makes sense, especially as Bautista - or Batista as he was known in WWE - definitely had a Hall of Fame worthy career following memorable matches with the likes of John Cena, Triple H, and The Undertaker. His return in 2014 was botched and led to the creation of "Bootista" but even that had some decent moments. Now, he's a movie star and a big part of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy franchise.
With Avengers: Infinity War set to be released next May, it makes sense that WWE would want to capitalise on that by adding Dave to the Hall of Fame. It probably wouldn't hurt the Marvel movie either in terms of promotion but it's guaranteed to be a hit either way! It's obviously still early days and there's nothing to say this will happen but stay tuned for any further updates we get.
