Becky Lynch was the longest-reigning RAW Women's Champion of all-time when she was forced to vacate the title last May after falling pregnant with her and Seth Rollins first baby. While it's understandable that "The Man" has taken an extended leave of absence from the company, rumours of a WrestleMania return that never happened has inevitably created a lot of chatter online.
Now, some fans wonder whether the door has been closed to Lynch ever returning, but we have a very positive update to share with you about exactly that today.
Ringside News reports that Lynch has actually signed a new deal with the company. We don't know what length that is or how much money she's making, but WWE locked her in a few weeks back. Vince McMahon reportedly wanted her back in time for WrestleMania, with the hope still being that she will eventually headline a PPV with Ronda Rousey (who is also expecting her first child).
Lynch's last contract was last signed in March 2019, and it was reported at the time that it was for multiple years with a significant pay rise. With talent jumping ship to AEW, WWE clearly wanted to lock the Irish Lass Kicker into a new deal that will ensure she's part of their programming for years to come.
With any luck, we'll see her back in the squared circle before the end of the year.
