HELL IN A CELL's Finish Was Reportedly Vince McMahon's Idea And He Knows He Screwed Up

Hell in a Cell's bizarre ending has generated an insane amount of controversy and a new report claims that it was Vince McMahon's call and he's well aware that it wasn't necessarily the right decision...

Hell in a Cell was a solid PPV right up until the ending but a couple of new reports point to the out of touch Vince McMahon being the one responsible for that disastrous decision! According to Fightful Select, the WWE Chairman came up with the finish and the level of offense in the bout (11 Curb Stomps from Seth Rollins to The Fiend).

Over at Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer also weighed in on the matter and he said that the DQ finish (sorry, "referee stoppage) was because in this new era of WWE, he wants to have Seth Rollins, Brock Lesnar, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte Flair as the company's top champions. Needless to say, that doesn't bode well for Bray Wyatt's future championship chances!

Fightful Select, meanwhile, adds that while some backstage sources have said that Vince initially laughed off the reaction from fans in the building, others have said he's well aware he messed up and is taking that negative crowd response seriously.

Unfortunately, last night's RAW failed to address the match so it seems Vince's approach is to to hope we all just forget about it!
