According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is indeed planning on having Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura defend the title against The Miz at Clash of Champions. Sami Zayn is reportedly going to manage the King of Strong Style but that's no great surprise after what happened on Tuesday night's episode of SmackDown Live.
The Revival vs. SmackDown Tag Team Champions The New Day is also expected to be added, while Kofi Kingston vs. Randy Orton with the WWE Championship is also pretty much a lock.
Surprisingly, Braun Strowman is still slated to take on Universal Champion Seth Rollins despite the fact that they won the RAW Tag Team Championships this week. There's no word yet on whether they'll be pulling double duty. As for the Women's Championships on both brands, Charlotte Flair and Sahsa Banks are indeed going to challenge for the titles on their respective brands.
Right now, plans for the other titles are unclear. Still, this is definitely shaping up to be a strong show, something WWE will definitely need to deliver if they hope to follow AEW's All Out PPV.
