Brock Lesnar's WWE future is currently very much in doubt, especially as he appears to be teasing a return to UFC. Well, despite the fact that it looks like he may be about to call it quits on his wrestling career, Dave Meltzer is now reporting that the current Universal Champion is, in fact, very interesting in staying with WWE when his contract expires the night after WrestleMania next month.
It's said that the feeling in the company is that it's pretty much the exact same situation as back in 2016 when Lesnar also toyed with returning to UFC before ultimately re-signing with WWE.
However, WWE officials are currently moving forward with the idea that Lesnar will leave to avoid setting up any storylines which ultimately won't pan out. With that in mind, it's highly likely that the plan is for Roman Reigns to beat him for the title. Meltzer also notes that the company is downplaying Lesnar on his way out so his departure won't look like too great a loss if it ultimately comes to that.
