Speculation about Roman Reigns' WWE return immediately started to arise once it was revealed that he's scheduled to appear at the ACE Comic-Con in Phoenix, Arizona next January. However, Dave Meltzer has now revealed that any discussions within the company about a return are "a long way off."
Apparently, Reigns has only just begun treatment so it's still very early days and he could be gone months or even years from the company depending on how long it takes him to beat the disease.
As a result, WWE is unlikely to be factoring him into any WrestleMania plans and those have no doubt changed in a massive way in recent weeks since he was forced to relinquish the Universal Championship. Needless to say, we wish Roman a speedy recovery and hope to have more news soon.
