Here's An Update On SMACKDOWN LIVE Superstar Big Cass Having Heat With WWE Higher Ups

And the update is... it looks like Big Cass really does have heat with WWE higher ups! This past Tuesday on SmackDown LIVE, the 7-footer was the recipient of a very one-sided beat-down by Daniel Bryan...

At this point it seems pretty clear that Big Cass is being punished for taking a recent segment with a little person posing as Daniel Bryan too far.

This past Tuesday on SmackDown, Cass came down to the ring to interrupt Bryan and wound up on the receiving end of a one-sided beating before tapping out (again) in the middle of the ring. While that may not sound like a huge deal, it kinda is when you think about how rare it is for a heel to be treated this way by a face without getting any offence in.

At any rate, here's Bryan Alvarez's take:

"They had the angle where Big Cass came out and he called out Daniel Bryan and it was a little person and he beat him up. So the story is that they told him, ‘just shove or boot him or whatever. Don’t lay a beating on this guy.’ And then Cass even said, ‘can I lay a beating on this guy?’ and they said, ‘no.’ Then he did it anyway.”

“This guy’s an idiot and I mean that in the nicest way possible. This is not the first time stupid stuff has happened with Cass. So yeah he got absolutely smashed to death by Daniel Bryan on the show this week.”

Cass is set to take on Samoa Joe next Tuesday for the chance to take the final spot in the Money in the Bank ladder match, so we'll see how that one goes!
