As promised, last night's episode of SmackDown took us to Tribal Court. The Usos planned to hold Roman Reigns accountable after defeating him and Solo Sikoa at Money in the Bank, and the Tribal Chief wasted no time in making his way to the ring to respond to Jimmy and Jey.
After arguing that neither of his cousins has the authority to call for Tribal Court, The Usos then presented Reigns with video evidence showing his many wrongdoings over the past few years in regard to how he's treated them.
The Head of the Table hit back by saying he's not that person, claiming everything he did was for them and Solo. Growing increasingly frustrated, Reigns told them he no longer wants the responsibility of being Tribal Chief and got down on his knees in front of Jey after placing his lei around his cousin's neck.
With a single tear rolling down his cheek, Reigns proceeded to low blow Jey before a beatdown commenced. During that, Solo considered taking the lei before reluctantly handing it to Roman, a further tease of what may be to come.
When all was said and done, Jimmy was taken out on a stretcher after his brother was forced to watch him get taken out by Reigns and Solo. Later in the night, Jey returned to seek revenge and, after attacking both his cousin and younger brother with a chair, he made a simple demand.
He wants to face Reigns for his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in a trial by combat!
While not officially announced, the match will likely take place at SummerSlam and promises to be another thrilling chapter in the incredible story WWE is telling with The Bloodline. Needless to say, we'd strongly recommend tracking down a full replay because this was Emmy-worthy yet again.
