Here's The FINAL Card For Tonight's WWE Day 1 PPV; Vince McMahon Declines To Freshen Up The Show's Look

WWE's ratings and ticket sale woes are clear for the world to see, but if you're expecting tonight's Day 1 PPV to be a true fresh start for the company...well, you might want to brace for disappointment.

Something clearly needs to be done to help pull WWE out of the rut it's in. NXT 2.0 has been far from a resounding success, while poor booking decisions continue to plague RAW and SmackDown (as do declining ticket sales and ratings). Tonight's Day 1 PPV may have been billed as a fresh start, but thanks to Vince McMahon, it doesn't sound like it will ultimately be that different.

Rumour has it WWE President Nick Khan is behind the show, with the hope it could become a tentpole event on the same level as WrestleMania and SummerSlam. However, pitches to shake up the PPV's presentation were seemingly shot down, likely meaning we're in store for more of the same.

We're hoping for a great show regardless, and you can check out the full Day 1 card below:

WWE Universal Championship Match
Roman Reigns(c) vs. Brock Lesnar

WWE Championship Triple Threat Match
Big E(c) vs. Seth Rollins vs. Kevin Owens

Edge vs. The Miz

WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match
The Usos(c) vs. The New Day

WWE RAW Women’s Championship Match
Becky Lynch(c) vs. Liv Morgan

Madcap Moss vs. Drew McIntyre

WWE Intercontinental Championship Match
Shinsuke Nakamura(c) vs. Sami Zayn

WWE RAW Tag Team Championship Match
Randy Orton and Matt Riddle(c) vs. The Street Profits

Kickoff Match
Cesaro and Ricochet vs. Sheamus and Ridge Holland

@marvel72 - How do you watch NJPW? I'd like to get into it, but have no idea how to.

@CorndogThief - I have an amazon fire stick and just download the app NJPWWORLD. I live in the UK and it costs me £6.00 a month, probably about $8-$10.00.

I think it's probably the best wrestling company in the world.

Watch Kenny Omega Vs Okanda Trilogy. Three matches over 3 hours of wrestling.

@CorndogThief - I have just watched the whole of Wrestle Kingdom 16 I would say two nights is close 10 hours of wrestling maybe more.

Wrestle Kingdom is Japan's Wrestlemania.

Seriously Josh, attacking Vince/WWE is order to deflect the current shitstorm surrounding All Excuses Wrestling? Pathetically transparent...

@Galvatron75 - I mean, he didn't exactly make this news up. And it has nothing to do with AEW.

What news is there about AEW that has been consistently negative? If you're not a fan, that's cool. If you don't like their booking, or how they run their shows, that's all opinions.

But with WWE, their own fans are screaming for change, and nothing is being done. I've been a life long WWE fan for over 30 years, and I only watch PPV's now...sometimes. I find AEW to be far better in terms of booking and matches being fresh. You always see different people on each episode. That in itself is a huge sell.
