Earlier this week, we learned that WWE had released Mandy Rose after some incredibly risque photos from her FanTime subscription page went viral on social media.
While we can't share those here, they allegedly depict Rose nude in the shower alongside her boyfriend. While they don't appear to be engaged in any sort of sexual activity, that's the insinuation due to the way they're cheekily shot, and likely what posed such a problem to the PG WWE.
According to Dave Meltzer, Matt Bloom made Shawn Michaels aware of the content Rose has been sharing on FanTime, and the Heartbreak Kid made the decision for the title to be removed from her immediately (hence why she dropped it to Roxanne Perez on Wednesday night's NXT after a record 413-day reign).
While WWE has always been aware of Rose's subscription content, this latest batch of photos is believed to have "way, way, way crossed the line," leaving the company with "absolutely no choice but to get rid of her in that situation."
WWE hasn't released the usual "future endeavours" message on Twitter or their website, so we're assuming announcements like that are over now Vince McMahon is gone. It's been said that Rose was left blindsided by the decision to release her, while there's been a lot of backlash online from fans unhappy with the decision.
Rose recently issues a brief statement on her FanTime page, saying: "Hey guys, thank you for all the messages. I am overwhelmed with all the love and support from you guys. And don't worry the page is still up!"
It's always possible WWE will bring Rose back after the dust settles, but this isn't a storyline firing and there's a chance companies like AEW and IMPACT Wrestling could now be scrambling to sign her up.
As always, keep checking back here for updates.
