When Bray Wyatt returned to WWE last year, it quickly became clear that the company had big plans for him.
As well as the debut of Uncle Howdy - thought to be Wyatt's real-life brother Bo Dallas - WWE teased appearances from a whole new Wyatt Family. There were even hints that Alexa Bliss would reunite with Bray, though both Superstars have since vanished from television and didn't even play a role at WrestleMania.
Now, the @BoozerRasslin Twitter account (which has emerged as a surprisingly reliable source of news) claims Alexa Bliss is being lined up to compete at Night of Champions later this month.
We haven't seen Bliss since the Royal Rumble PLE in January, and she's recently been busy with non-WWE projects such as The Masked Singer and That's My Jam. Earlier this month, Dave Meltzer said she's "ready to return," so these latest claims make sense.
As for Wyatt, there have been conflicting reports for a while. While we've heard that he's dealing with some sort of unknown illness, chatter online has pointed to potential creative differences between Bray and the company, meaning his WWE status has been a mystery to us for some time now.
As part of this latest scoop, it's said there's nothing new to report beyond the fact the former WWE Champion's return is "up to management and him." With any luck, this means plans are being put in place for Wyatt as the stop and start nature of his booking is doing Bray no favours.
Neither Wyatt nor Bliss were part of the recent WWE Draft.
Night of Champions takes place on May 27 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
