Last month, a story dropped that very nearly broke the internet (or at least the IWC). As you'll have likely guessed, we're referring to the fact CM Punk has reportedly signed a deal with AEW that will see him step back into the ring for the first time since he walked out of WWE in January 2014.

Rumour has it that his big debut will take place at the sold-out United Center in Chicago on August 20, and while nothing is confirmed, fans in attendance might just lose their sh*t if Punk is M.I.A.!

According to Fightful Select, Punk has indeed been training on his own in addition to prepping for his role in new Starz TV series Heels. The site has spoken to wrestlers and cast members who have worked with Punk over the past six months, and they all shared positive comments.

Apparently, he's looking "completely healthy," and much better than he did during his final days in WWE.

One person even told them that Punk is as good as ever in the ring, leading them to wonder whether he might have been training in private for some time and that it looks like he's never been away.

Hopefully, we'll have some concrete details to share with you soon!
