Former RAW Tag Team Champion Drew McIntyre is currently out of action after undergoing surgery for what's been described as a lingering injury. According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, this minor surgery was neither bone nor muscle related.

It's said that he's been sick for a few weeks but pushed the surgery back so he could see through his WWE commitments.

The feeling is that McIntyre has had his surgery now because it means he'll be back in time for the Road to WrestleMania. McIntyre was last in action on August 26th and Meltzer reveals that he was so sick that day, he could barely get out of bed. He was dealing with the flu at the time but after seeing a doctor, he was ordered into surgery just a few hours later.

Fingers crossed he'll be cleared soon as reports continue swirling that he could be cleared by next week. Stay tuned for updates.
