AJ Styles suffered a separated shoulder during the Royal Rumble match after he flipped over to sell Edge's Spear and landed awkwardly. Now, Dave Meltzer has provided an update on the former United States Champion's recovery time and he's going to be gone for a little while.

"AJ Styles looks optimistically they’re looking at 4 to 6 weeks out," Meltzer says. "The plan is they hope that he’ll be ready for WrestleMania. He talked about it and said it’s not Edge’s fault at all. He just tried to take this great bump for Edge’s spear and in doing so he separated his shoulder."

Accidents happen and it's great to hear that Styles will be part of WrestleMania as no Superstar wants to miss the Show of Shows. With any luck, there won't be any delays with his recovery and we'll see him back in the ring and feuding with someone for a marquee match at the PPV.

As always, we'll keep you guys updated as we learn more.
