Thanks to Dave Meltzer in that latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, we now know how ticket sales are going for next weekend's Clash of Champions PPV. Apparently, WWE has the show set up for 9,500 seats, a decision which has eliminated around 80% of the building's upper deck.
At full capacity for a wrestling event, The Spectrum Center could hold at least 20,200 wrestling fans. WWE clearly realises that they can't sell that many tickets, something which is evident from the fact that 8,000 tickets have been sold with just seven days to go until it takes place. Sadly, it seems the days of WWE attracting 10,000+ fans appear to be over.
In fairness, the Clash of Champions card is shaping up to be great and WWE is trying to bring fans back. Unfortunately, months of bad creative has killed the interest of many people and winning them over at this stage will be no easy feat.
