This week will feature a lot of changes to WWE programming as RAW has its "season premiere," NXT goes head to head with All Elite Wrestling: Dynamite, and Friday Night SmackDown arrives on FOX.
Now, Dave Meltzer has revealed in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that part of the reason for these changes is because WWE is looking to close the holes that AEW is going to attempt to exploit. It's no secret that they will have pyro on their weekly TV show and it's now been confirmed that WWE is also planning to bring that back.
Well, and more besides! Apparently, there will be pyro, flames, lasers, new graphics, new logos, and new music for the shows. They have also been testing new camera angles.
WWE previously scrapped pyro to save money and instead only used it at WrestleMania. However, these big new TV deals have freed up a lot of money and that means it will be making a comeback in order to make WWE's shows feel bigger and better than AEW.
