Last September, Jeff Hardy confirmed in an interview that he had signed a new contract with WWE. He said at the time that the plan was for him to start using his "No More Words" theme song again, while there were hints that the company was planning to start using Hardy's Willow persona in some form.
None of that has happened, and we've barely seen Jeff on television since last year. It's no secret that time was added to his contract due to injuries, and you'd think WWE would have released him by now...if it wasn't for the fact he'd likely head straight to AEW where his brother Matt is currently signed!
Now, Fightful Select is reporting that "throughout the year, WWE made alterations and changes on several contracts, and Jeff Hardy’s deal was either restructured, re-signed or extended."
Apparently, Jeff's deal last until at least the end of 2022/beginning of 2023.
That might screw up Matt's hopes for how he'd like to end his career. During a recent interview with ET Canada, he expressed a desire to wrap things up by reuniting the Hardy Boyz in AEW.
We'll see if that happens, but for now, Jeff remains locked into his WWE contract for the long haul...
