On Tuesday, reports surfaced that Kairi Sane was busted open by Nia Jax during tapings for this week's episode of RAW. No one was particularly surprised to hear that, of course, as Jax has a habit of being careless and reckless in the ring, and Sane certainly wouldn't be the first Superstar she's injured.

According to that initial story, the match was stopped for Sane to be cleaned up by ringside doctors, and the match was then fished. It doesn't appear as if she's now out of action, but it has been described as a significant cut.

Now, Dave Meltzer has shed more light on what happened during the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, and he says that Jax isn't being blamed despite her past record. The injury reportedly occurred when Sane was thrown into the ring steps, and one person told him that she may have stumbled while heading into them, which is how she hit her head. Another said Sane simply made the bump look too good and injured herself as a result.

Hopefully, she doesn't have a concussion, and Jax has clearly escaped getting any backstage heat for being involved in another injury.

We'll keep you guys updated as we learn more!
