Here's The Latest On Shane McMahon's WWE Status Moving Forward Following The ROYAL RUMBLE

Following the news that Shane McMahon helped to produce last Sunday's Royal Rumble PPV, there's been a lot of speculation that it could be a role he takes on backstage on a permanent basis. Well, Dave Meltzer has now weighed in on that and it sounds like that's not in the cards.

During the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, he said that Shane isn't officially working as a producer or agent and was instead just helping out with the men's Rumble match. In fact, it's said that he's not usually around these days since being written off television late last year. 

As we told you last week, Shane worked as a producer for the match last Sunday alongside Abyss, Jamie Noble, and Lance Storm. WWE Champion Brock Lesnar and RAW Executive Director Paul Heyman also had input during the first half of the match which was dominated by The Beast.
