AJ Styles wasn't present at this week's episode of SmackDown Live and reports have been swirling since early on Monday that the former WWE Champion flew home that day because he was injured at WrestleMania. It's said that he suffered a hip injury after hitting the Phenomenal Forearm on Orton to the outside of the ring.

It's said now that Styles was evaluated yesterday but his current condition has yet to be confirmed.

For what it's worth, Styles mentioned on a recent gaming stream that it was actually the Superplex from Orton that caused the injury and he told fans that nothing was broken and he only has soft tissue bruising.

With any luck, that means we'll see him back in the squared circle sooner rather than later.
