Here's The Latest On The Red Light Being Used During The Fiend's WWE Matches

Fans were relieved when that annoying red light was nowhere to be seen during The Fiend's match at the Royal Rumble PPV, and we now have an update on whether WWE plans to use it at events moving forward...

WWE has struck gold with The Fiend, but if there's one thing most fans can agree on, it's that the red lighting used during his matches is distracting and something that makes them hard to watch.

During Bray Wyatt's "Strap Match" with Daniel Bryan at the Royal Rumble PPV, the light was M.I.A., a sign perhaps that WWE had decided to get rid of it due to the backlash from fans. Unfortunately, Sunday Night's Main Event podcast is now reporting that it could soon make its return.

Apparently, in the matches which take place after TV tapings with The Fiend, WWE is still using the red lighting. The reason it wasn't used at the Royal Rumble is because it means we would have been unable to see the red markings on Bryan's back after the strap was used on him by the Universal Champion.

With The Fiend set to battle Goldberg at Super ShowDown tonight, we'll soon find out whether the red lighting is going to make a comeback at PPVs as well as in dark matches.
