Mauro Ranallo didn't call last night's Survivor Series PPV because of Tweets sent out by SmackDown commentator Corey Graves regarding his work during the NXT TakeOver: WarGames PPV. After Graves pointed out that Ranallo wasn't giving Beth Phoenix or Nigel McGuinness enough time to talk, the voice of NXT came under fire on social media and subsequently deleted his Twitter account.
Now, Dave Meltzer has noted that while Ranallo did choose to go home on Sunday night, he has not quit WWE and the belief is that he'll be back in time for this Wednesday night's episode of NXT.
He adds that Ranallo's mental health issues are well-known, it's unfortunate that one of his colleagues has decided to take aim at him like this when he should be aware of his struggles with depression and bipolar disorder. WWE officials were not happy with Graves' comments but he still called some of the action during Survivor Series so it's hard to say whether he now has any heat for what happened.
We'll keep you guys updated.
