This year's WrestleMania took place in the empty WWE Performance Center, but next year's show is scheduled to hail from the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California on March 28th. The question is, will the Showcase of the Immortals be able to take place as planned with COVID-19 still such a problem in the United States?
Los Angeles has been hit particularly hard, and it's hard to imagine an event which attracts close to 100,000 fans from across the world taking place right now.
While March is still a long way off, the WrestleVotes has shared an update on Twitter in which they explain that, "WWE is still very much planning to run the event as scheduled. However, they don’t want this determination looming. Heard internally WWE would like a decision by mid-December from the state of CA on large scale gatherings. Probably not good."
In other words, WWE won't risk waiting until the last-minute and having another WrestleMania cancelled on them, so chances are they'll try taking the Show of Shows elsewhere if California is a write off.
It might be a while before we hear more, but stay tuned for additional updates.
