Earlier this month, we learned that Paul "Triple H" Levesque was hospitalised following what WWE described as a "cardiac event." Apparently, it was a result of a "genetic heart issue," but he's had successful surgery and is expected to make a full recovery.
Now, we have an update on WWE's Executive Vice President of Global Talent Strategy & Development courtesy of Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter. While the company is remaining tight-lipped about The Game's condition, it's said that he's in good enough condition to take phone calls.
Those within WWE have been told that they're allowed to call Triple H to wish him well, but they aren't allowed to talk business with him. That's hardly a surprise when he's seemingly still on the mend from his heart surgery, and it's a stressful enough time for him as it is between Adam Cole defecting to AEW and Vince McMahon relaunching NXT as NXT 2.0!
Unfortunately, this could bring an end to The Game's in-ring career, though it's rare he wrestles these days. The good news here is that he's on the mend, though it's likely going to be a while before he's able to return to work.
The important thing is that the WWE Hall of Famer is getting better after successful surgery, and we certainly hope to hear directly from him soon.
As per usual, we'll keep you guys updated as we learn more.
