When it was revealed that ITV was planning on moving forward with a World of Sport revival, WWE quickly made moves to establish a brand of their own in the United Kingdom. That was why they signed up a bunch of talent and launched the United Kingdom Championship Tournament but there's been no movement on any of these shows since, possibly because ITV's talks with Impact fell through.
Could it be that WWE no longer feels the need to establish a show in the UK? Well, Dave Meltzer reveals that there is now a lot of movement on the stalled WWE UK project as the company has a date booked for shows in Margate and Kent in December. WWE has also renewed contracts with the likes of Trent Seven, Tyler Bate, Pete Dunne, Wolfgang, and Mark Andrews, increasing current deals.
Right now, WWE's plan is to still do tapings and run a UK based promotion before ultimately opening a training centrer with the idea of eventually bringing British trailers to Florida's Performance Center.
