Here's The Latest On What's Going On With Dolph Ziggler's WWE Contract Status

Since moving to RAW, Dolph Ziggler's status has quickly risen as pairing him with Drew McIntyre has done wonders for the Showoff. He's also the current Intercontinental Champion and PWInsider's Mike Johnson believes that giving him a title could be WWE's way of trying to convince Ziggler to re-sign with them (rather than hitting the independent scene where he'd likely end up making a killing).

"What’s interesting is Ziggler’s deal is up later this summer," he notes. "If they are going to invest in Dolph and get him to re-up with this company, now is the time to do it."

Johnson went on to point out that he hopes, "it’s not a case of let's use him now and get him locked in and once he signs paper to pencil we can toss him to the waste side again." That would be a shame to see but not something any of us would put past WWE. In the long run, it does seem likely that Drew McIntyre will receive a push and that Ziggler will return to the sidelines shortly after.

If Ziggler also feels that way, don't be surprised if he decides against signing with WWE again this summer! What do you guys think will happen? Let us know your thoughts in the usual place.
