When Rey Mysterio returned at the Royal Rumble PPV, he looked better than ever and received an overwhelmingly positive response from fans in attendance. Since then, rumours have been swirling about a possible WWE return but after negotiations with Impact Wrestling fell apart, Mysterio followed in Chris Jericho's footsteps by agreeing to make an appearance in New Japan Pro Wrestling.

Now, Dave Meltzer is reporting that the former WWE Champion is expected to sign some kind of deal either this year or in 2019 to return to the company where he made a name for himself.

Apparently, Mysterio's deal will likely be part-time similar to Y2J which makes sense given his age. It's currently unclear whether he will be part of 205 Live or on the main roster but he'd certainly go a long way in improving the former if he were to join the fray. What do you guys think?
