Podcast One sent out a press release last week with comments from the Steve Austin Show in which the Texas Rattlesnake revealed that he's open to returning to WWE for one more match. There's been a lot of speculation about his in-ring future since then, with many wondering if he could be tempted by the huge money from the Saudi Arabia shows.
Well, according to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there are currently no plans for Austin to compete at the upcoming Crown Jewel PPV.
Meltzer notes that Goldberg may have been paid as much as $2 million for his match against The Undertaker at the last Crown Jewel and you have to believe that Austin would be worth even more than that. It just depends how serious he is about returning and whether he's healthy enough.
