Recently, AEW President Tony Khan teased more surprise debuts in the company and that's reignited speculation about what the future might hold in store for former WWE Superstar Bray Wyatt.
Wyatt, now using his real name, Windham Rotunda, was released by WWE earlier this year and there's been speculation about him signing with AEW ever since. Unfortunately, it doesn't sound like he's currently ready to step back into the pro wrestling ring. That update comes from Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Apparently, the current word is that he's not looking to return right now and is busy working on a movie.
He adds that as one of the highest-paid stars in WWE, Rotunda is likely in no rush to sign another contract as he's a top tier talent (and a huge merchandise seller) with plenty of money behind him. It sounds like he has spoken to both AEW and IMPACT Wrestling recently, but there was a big difference between what he wanted and how much the companies were willing to pay.
Lights flickering during a recent AEW Dynamite episode has left to renewed speculation about Rotunda debuting there, but it seems that's simply not going to happen for now. It's a shame as there's a lot more the former Universal Champion can do in the ring, but we'll see what happens.
As always, keep checking back here for updates.
