We've been hearing a lot of speculation about Rusev's recent absence from WWE television, with claims that he's injured debunked by the Bulgarian Brute himself. Now, though, Dave Meltzer may have finally shed some light on what's really going on during a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio.

Apparently, it's as simple as WWE's creative team not having anything planned for the Bulgarian Brute, hence why we've not seen him on RAW since January 20th. Both he and Bobby Lashley were written out of the Royal Rumble after a backstage brawl but it seems the company has now pulled the plug on that storyline if there are no plans in place for him.

Why that storyline has so abruptly ended is hard to say but Liv Morgan seems to be moving on to a feud with Ruby Riott and Lashley missed out on a chance to face WWE Champion Brock Lesnar at Super ShowDown after being pinned cleanly by Ricochet.

Hopefully, things change for Rusev soon.
