On Sunday night, we told you about a verbal altercation backstage between WWE Champion Brock Lesnar and NXT Superstar Matt Riddle during the Royal Rumble. Riddle has spent years talking trash about Lesnar and seems keen to have a match with him somewhere down the line.

Now, talkSPORT's Alex McCarthy has shared what he heard from sources backstage at the PPV and it's said that Lesnar approached Riddle and grabbed his shoulder to get his attention.

Apparently, Lesnar then said something along the lines of "Kid, you might as well stop saying my name and tagging me in sh*t because you and I will never work together. Ever." Clearly, The Beast isn't a fan of Riddle going into business for himself and trying to make this match happen at the expense of Lesnar's name and reputation.

Riddle reportedly kept his cool but this is the second time he's been confronted backstage as Goldberg had words with him last year too. While it's admirable that he's trying to set the stage for what he clearly considers dream matches, the way he's going about it doesn't seem to be winning him many fans in WWE.
