This week's episode of SmackDown Live featured impressive performances from Tomasso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, Aleister Black, and Ricochet and as cool as that was, it meant a number of familiar faces were pushed to the sidelines. However, they did end up appearing once the show went off the air in dark matches.

First, Rey Mysterio teamed up with United States Champion R-Truth to battle The Colons, while a second match saw Asuka defend the SmackDown Women's Championship against Charlotte Flair.

WWE was supposed to be pushing a rivalry between Mysterio and Andrade but that appears to have been put on the backburner in recent weeks. As for Asuka, it seems as if she's going to be feuding with Mandy Rose moving into the Fastlane PPV next month.

With WrestleMania approaching, expect all of these Superstars to start entering programs which will take them right into the Showcase of the Immortals.
