Despite speculation to the contrary, Brock Lesnar was never actually asked to replace Roman Reigns at the WWE TLC PPV a couple of weeks ago. That's despite the fact the event was taking place in The Beast's hometown of Minneapolis and fans in the building were at one point chanting for him to come out after Angle was carried out of the Tables, Ladders, and Chairs main event.

There was, however, someone WWE did consider bringing back before turning to the Olympic Gold Medallist. That was Chris Jericho but he was unavailable due to his Fozzy commitments.

Y2J is so over that fans would have definitely responded well to him joining The Shield for a night but Angle's return was infinitely more exciting and more than made up for the fact that the team's highly anticipated reunion was cut short. Who do you think would have been a good pick for the third member of The Shield? Be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
