Here's Why AJ Styles Took The Weekend Off And Whether He's Expected At SMACKDOWN LIVE

WrestleMania is fast approaching and a number of WWE Superstars are currently dealing with nagging injuries. With AJ Styles taking off live events this past weekend, there's some concern that the Phenomenal One could be injured but that's not actually the case according to Dave Meltzer.

Apparently, Styles was given the weekend off because he has a hernia and it sounds like he'll be at SmackDown Live tonight and back on live events by the time the weekend rolls around. That's definitely a relief, especially as Styles will compete in the WWE Championship Elimination Chamber match.

We still don't know what WWE has planned for Styles at the Showcase of the Immortals but it's bound to be a big match and rumours have been pointing to him squaring off with Randy Orton at the PPV.
