Here's Why Braun Strowman Was Missing From This Week's Episode Of WWE RAW

Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman cut an impressive promo on this Monday's RAW but Braun Strowman - the target of that - was nowhere to be seen. Hit the jump to find out why he was missing from the show...

Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman made it clear that The Beast isn't afraid of battling RAW's Monster Among Men this past Monday. However, Braun Strowman was nowhere to be seen and that's left many fans wondering if he might be injured or was given the night off because he could have legitimately hurt Lesnar during their recent - and very brutal looking - exchanges.

The answer, it seems, is far simpler. According to Dave Meltzer, WWE had no plans for Strowman to respond to Lesnar and Heyman's promo and if he wasn't going to interact with The Beast, it simply didn't make sense for him to appear elsewhere on RAW.

"
Strowman wasn't on Raw this week as a creative decision for the Lesnar vs. Strowman program," Meltzer wrote. "The feeling was to keep the two of them apart after the physical angle last week. Strowman was taken off this show with the idea you can't have them both on the show at this point without interacting."

That makes sense and it's noted that Strowman is expected to appear on the September 4th RAW but Lesnar is not. However, both will be on the September 11th show to further build to their Universal Championship match at No Mercy a little later this month.
