Here's Why Corey Graves Reportedly Has Heat Backstage With WWE Officials

The Greatest Royal Rumble didn't sit well with a lot of wrestling fans and it's now being reported that cryptic comments from Corey Graves about Saudi Arabia have resulted in him gaining some heat backstage.

The Greatest Royal Rumble was an uncomfortable show to watch, especially as Saudi Arabia - which WWE was attempting to sell as a country that's turning things around - still beheads gay people and treats women terribly. Speaking of which, women weren't allowed to wrestle on the show and the announcers were clearly choosing their words carefully during the government-sponsored event.

Shortly after it aired on the WWE Network, Corey Graves took to Instagram to say, "A drink to remember that no matter how bad WE think we have it, at least our women have rights and we all have freedom of expression." That was clearly a swipe at Saudi Arabia and that and other cryptic remarks made the show have reportedly resulted in the announce having some heat backstage.

It's said that the feeling is that while Graves' comments were understandable, he should have kept them to himself and needs to bear in mind that he's more replaceable than he thinks he is.
