Here's Why Damian Priest Has Vanished From WWE Television After His Big Push Before And After WRESTLEMANIA

Heading into WrestleMania, Damian Priest was booked as a dominant force on RAW and ended up being put in a high profile match alongside Bad Bunny. After the PPV, he continued feuding with The Miz and John Morrison, and competed in that bizarre zombie Lumberjack match at WrestleMania Backlash.

Weirdly, Priest has been M.I.A. from the Monday night show for the past month, leading to many fans speculating that he could be injured or somehow fallen out of favour with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon.

As you may recall, there were reports that the former NXT Superstar suffered an injury before WrestleMania (which was why bad Bunny's match was originally advertised as a singles bout with The Miz). Well, on today's Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer was asked why we haven't seen Priest since May 17.

Apparently, he's been sidelined with a back injury, and while he was able to work WrestleMania and WrestleMania Backlash, it seems he now needs some time off to rehab before making his return.

As of right now, we don't know when that will happen because Meltzer made no mention of how serious Priest's issues with his back actually are. As always, we'll be sure to keep you guys updated.
