As of right now, it appears as if Money in the Bank is going to be a massive ten match show (at least) running at least four hours. However, one person currently without a key spot on the card is Daniel Bryan so why exactly has the leader of the Yes Movement and former WWE Champion been left out of the ladder match which culminates with a new Mr. Money in the Bank being crowned?
According to Dave Meltzer, it all boils down to WWE wanting to be careful with Bryan and leaving him out of a match known for neck and head injuries is obviously a smart way of doing that.
As of right now, Bryan is still getting a medical checkup after every match to ensure he's doing okay and given how high the company's profile is right now, the last thing WWE want is for him to be reinjured so soon after making his triumphant return. So, while it's a shame we won't see him in that ladder match, at least his feud with Big Cass guarantees him a place somewhere on the card.
