Despite the fact that WWE heavily promoted the match between Mandy Rose and Naomi ahead of last night's SmackDown Live, it didn't take place, and a lot of fans weren't happy it didn't happen.

Well, in an interview which took place after SmackDown Live went off the air, Paige explained that it was scrapped because The Miz made that match with Shane McMahon without her permission and promised that it will indeed happen at a later date. What's the real backstage story here, though?

Well, WWE sources reveal that the script was changed shortly before the show went on the air and there simply wasn't room for the match. It could be that this came as a result of those record low ratings last week but here's hoping these women get the chance to shine somewhere down the line.
