Here's Why Samoa Joe Was (Briefly) Booked As A Babyface On Last Night's Episode Of RAW

After helping Roman Reigns following that car crash and his backstage interaction with Sami Zayn on last night's RAW, the signs all appeared to be pointing to Samoa Joe becoming a babyface. However, as soon as he defeated Zayn, Joe turned on the crowd and made it clear that he wouldn't forgive them for thinking he was behind those recent attacks on The Big Dog.

Well, according to Dave Meltzer, the angle on RAW wasn't meant to set up a babyface turn for Joe. Instead, Vince McMahon felt that the big pop Zayn would receive for performing in his home country would hurt his current heel persona, hence why they booked Joe as a babyface in order to get him that positive crowd reaction.

Honestly, it makes sense but there are bound to be a lot of fans disappointed that WWE isn't committing to a babyface turn for Samoa Joe.

After all, crowds do want to cheer him and he's in desperate need of a makeover of sorts. What do you guys think? Let us know down below.
