Here's Why Trish Stratus And Lita's Matches At The EVOLUTION PPV Have Been Changed
WWE Hall of Famers Trish Stratus and Lita were supposed to have singles matches at Evolution but that was changed on last night's RAW and we now have some details about what led to that happening. Take a look!
During last night's episode of RAW, we learned that Trish Stratus and Lita will now team up to take on the team of Alexa Bliss and Mickie James. They were previously booked in singles matches and there's been a lot of speculation that WWE is trying to protect the two women as they'll both be suffering from severe ring rust after years of not competing on the squared circle for a number of years.
Well, according to Dave Meltzer, it was always the plan for this to be a tag team match and the reason Alexa Bliss vs. Trish Stratus was initially announced was because they wanted to increase ticket sales. RAW Women's Champion Ronda Rousey vs. Nikki Bella was also in the works a number of months ago but WWE didn't want to make that official until the storyline between them kicked off.
More matches for the PPV are expected to be announced in the coming weeks as the show takes place on October 28th. Are you excited for this tag team bout? Share your thoughts down below.
