There's been a lot of speculation about Bobby Roode being absent from WWE in recent months, especially as he was suspended by WWE for his first violation of the company's Wellness Policy not too long before WrestleMania. While we've seen plenty of chatter online attempting to explain his absence, the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter finally clears things up.
According to Dave Meltzer, Roode is neither suspended nor injured and is, in fact, in the same situation as the Singh Brothers. Living in Canada means he's been unable to travel into the United States, so this isn't a case of him being unwanted or unwilling to do tapings for WWE; he simply can't leave his home country!
This has been a problem for a number of talents, including Pete Dunne and NXT Cruiserweight Champion Jordan Devlin (who live in the UK).
Meltzer added that a lot of other Canadian talent has moved to Florida, so they're not facing the same issues. As for Roode, his last appearance was back in March when he teamed up with Dolph Ziggler to challenge for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships at Elimination Chamber.
As always, we'll keep you guys in the loop if we hear more about his status.
