Here's Why We Haven't Seen Sheamus And Cesaro On SMACKDOWN LIVE For A While

Former RAW Tag Team Champions Sheamus and Cesaro haven't been seen on SmackDown Live for weeks now and we may finally have a reason why! Unfortunately, it doesn't bode particularly well for either man...

One of the most exciting additions to the SmackDown Live roster during this year's Superstar Shakeup was the team of Sheamus and Cesaro. Those two spent months dominating the RAW tag team division but we've seen pretty much nothing of them since as they only actually appeared on three episode of the show since the Greatest Royal Rumble and were last seen on May 29th.

So, what's the deal with their absence? According to Dave Meltzer, it all boils down to WWE Creative having nothing for them to do which is a shock given how great they consistently were on RAW.

Then again, with The Usos feuding with Sanity and Daniel Bryan now in the midst of a rivalry with The Bludgeon Brothers, there's not really much for them to do in SmackDown Live's tag team division, especially as we've seen enough matches between them and The New Day to last a lifetime. They do continue to work live events but don't be shocked if they're split up before too long.
