The Rusev/Lana/Bobby Lashley love triangle storyline on RAW was trashy, but something that generated a lot of discussion online and some big ratings for WWE. Eventually, Liv Morgan was added to that when she interrupted Lana's wedding to Lashley and revealed that they has been romantically involved in the past.
Needless to say, it wasn't well-received, and the angle was dropped almost immediately. Even the love triangle didn't last much longer, and the entire storyline just petered out with little explanation or even a satisfying conclusion.
Well, according to Dave Meltzer during yesterday's Wrestling Observer Radio, "From what I was told, it was Paul looking for a spot in the wedding thing to pop people but there was no plan to follow up on it." That's disappointing, bit not overly surprising, especially when he did the same with Beulah McGillicutty and Francine in ECW (only to never follow up on it after that initial reaction).
As of right now, it looks like WWE is planning to split Lashley and Lana up, as there's been some tension between them in recent weeks. Rusev, meanwhile, has been released from the company, but Lana reportedly has a new, five-year deal with them which will keep her there for the foreseeable future.
