Another week, another RAW with no response from The Undertaker in regards to his long rumoured match with John Cena at the Showcase of the Immortals next month. So, why is WWE holding off on making the bout official, especially when it's arguably the most excited one on the entire card?
Well, Dave Meltzer has now shed some light on the situation and it sounds like it boils down to the fact that there's so much currently going on with the build up to WrestleMania in New Orleans.
"They will wait until the last week as the thing is realistically, they have a loaded card and it’s not like they will have trouble selling tickets. The idea is with Daniel Bryan’s return and Ronda Rousey’s match, you know Nakamura and Styles and Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns. I think maybe Vince figures ‘hey, it’s a loaded up card, we can wait until the last week to push [it].’"
That makes perfect sense and The Undertaker's silence is probably just building anticipation as opposed to hurting this match in any way. Chances are we'll finally see The Deadman respond this coming Monday whether that's in person, a recorded message of some sort, or a bit of his trademark lightning!
