Rusev has now tied the Great Khali for 17 consecutive pay-per-view losses in a row.
The former United States champion gained the record last night during the kick-off show when he and Shinsuke Nakamura were defeated by Xavier Woods and Big E from the New Day.
Andrew Feldman of ESPN brought light to Rusev’s worst ever accomplishment; The former United States champion’s last win was against Big Cass on the pre-show of Roadblock: End of the Line in December 2016. It hasn’t been a particularly good run for the “Bulgarian Brute” since he dropped the United States title back at WrestleMania 31.
Rusev has had a few glimmers of hope since then by winning the United States championship twice and gaining immense popularity with fans late 2017 and early 2018; however, the company has never truly tried to recapture the magic he had during his first United States title run.
