AJ Styles hasn't shied away from making his dislike of former RAW Executive Director Paul Heyman known in recent weeks, especially as he blames the one-time ECW owner for the fact Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson were released by WWE.
There have been conflicting reports about that in recent weeks, with many arguing that it was likely Vince McMahon who made that call rather than Heyman. However, as he was in charge of RAW, it's likely he told the WWE Chairman that he had no plans for the tag team, and it's that which influenced the decision to release them back at the start of the pandemic.
During another of his Twitch streams, Styles decided to address lingering rumours that he's unhappy in WWE and explained that he's ready to move on from Heyman after his recent comments about him
"I'm unhappy being Intercontinental Champion, I'm unhappy what? What do I have to be unhappy about?" Styles asked fans. "We all understood what happened [with Paul Heyman]. The problem with everything that happened is that the lie happened, the blatant lie. I don't really want to harp on anyone anymore. What's done is done."
With that, it appears Styles has drawn a line in the sand, and it's unlikely he'll comment further on what happened. Still, there's no denying that bringing Heyman back alongside Brock Lesnar at some point could make for a very compelling storyline if he were to target the Phenomenal One.
