Is WWE Champion AJ Styles planning on hanging up his wrestling boots for good soon? During a recent interview, The Phenomenal One certainly seemed to imply that he's thinking about retiring in the near future.

AJ Styles hasn't been with WWE for very long, but the Phenomenal One has been plying his trade in the squared circle for over 20 years, and could well be thinking about retiring soon.

The Georgia native was recently interviewed on theboxhouston.com, and was asked about finding a way to balance his strenuous WWE schedule and his personal life:

“Work hard now, you enjoy it later. In a couple of years, I’ll be able to catch every football game, every baseball game, every basketball game, cheerleading, gymnastics, whatever they’re in.”

Styles is in the best shape of his life and has arguably never been better in the ring - as his show-stealing match with Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series last night will attest to - but at 40 years of age, he may still be considering hanging up his wrestling boots.

Of course, "a couple of years" could mean anything, really, so fans probably shouldn't start panicking just yet.
