Is SMACKDOWN LIVE Superstar Andrade Getting A Push Because He Also Asked For His Release?

Rumors have been running rampant that several well-known WWE Superstars have asked to be released from their contracts, and it looks like Andrade could be one of them.

The former NXT Champion has been a part of the main roster for a while now, but has barely been utilized outside of a couple of early matches against Daniel Bryan and AJ Styles. However, the talented luchador picked up a huge win over the legendary Rey Mysterio this past Tuesday on SmackDown LIVE, and Dave Meltzer reckons this is because he was one of the wrestlers that asked for his release.

The current narrative is that Vince McMahon is determined to stop his talent leaving WWE to go elsewhere - especially now that All Elite Wrestling has become a very tempting option.

If this is true, let's hope Andrade's push continues, because he is something special and deserves to be much higher up on the card.
