Last September, Ric Flair claimed a movie about his life was in the works, with Guardians of the Galaxy star Bradley Cooper eyed to play him. At the time, the WWE Hall of Famer also mentioned Chris Pratt as a possible contender, but it appears another Marvel actor might have nabbed the coveted role.
Captain America: Civil War and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier star Sebastian Stan recently dined with Flair and his partner Wendy, with the prevailing theory now being that the actor is being lined up to star as the Nature Boy.
It would make sense as it's not hard to look at Stan and imagine him being transformed into a younger Flair.
Doing the rounds to promote I, Tonya a few years ago, Stan actually talked about being a big WWF fan as a kid, so we're guessing he's familiar with The Man's in-ring work. There's always a chance they have some mutual acquaintances, of course, but it's hard to imagine why else these two would be having dinner together unless it was to discuss the movie.
Also present at this dinner were WWE Superstar Charlotte Flair and her husband/AEW star Andrade El Idolo.
We'll see what happens, but Flair has had one helluva life, and it would definitely lend itself well to a feature film. Stan is no stranger to playing real-life figures and recently transformed into Tommy Lee for Hulu's Pam & Tommy.
